Import Geometry

April2013Toolingtip3Import Geometry is a Cimatron function for transferring data from one part to another while in assembly.  Most often, the imported geometry is kept in its fixed position within the assembly file.  But a second option exists that will Import the Geometry by Reference.  This will add the selected geometry to the active part in the same UCS orientation it has in the original part.  This is especially useful during the forming process for Die Design, allowing geometry to be precisely moved from one forming shape to another.  If further geometry manipulation is necessary, it can be performed using the arrows found at each location.
